Content specific to Zambia has mainly been provided by Mike Bingham but the site also makes extensive use of the content on the Zimbabwe and Mozambique websites. Website development was done by Mark Hyde based on the software used by the two existing sites.
A more detailed history of the site, its development and contents may be found on the Site history page
The site was created for similar reasons as to why the Zimbabwe and Mozambique sites were created, namely to make information about the plants of Zambia more freely available.
The site covers the whole of Zambia.
The site is entirely non-profit. Costs are borne by the authors; we receive no sponsorship or financial support at all.
Contributions are welcome. These might be in the form of images of Zambian plants, assisting with writing up genera or species or the extraction of records. There is always a lot of work to be done and any help would be welcome and wil be acknowledged.
