Description
The security at the Kutsaga Tobacco Research Station, near the Harare International Airport, has offered relative protection against the rampant destruction, which has affected many areas of this typical habitat around Harare. The wooded areas still show a wide variety of trees and shrubs; the herbaceous species, which are most susceptible to disturbance can still be found; and the various habitats have not been overrun by invasive weeds, except for the inevitable presence of Lantana camara (Verbenaceae).
