Description: |
Perennial up to 122 cm tall, with a short rhizome, sometimes stoloniferous, culms tufted, erect when young, later curving and eventually touching the ground. Leaf blade absent, the sheath greyish-black to purple, ending in a short triangular limb. Inflorescence capitate, spikelets in a digitate crowded head. |
