Description:

Straggling annual, rooting at the lower nodes. Culms 40–150 cm. high. Leaf laminae narrowly lanceolate, cordate and amplexicaul at the base. Panicle 8–25 cm. long, ovate, effuse. Spikelets 2.5–3.5 mm. long. Inferior glume 0.5–1 mm. long, ovate, separated from the superior by a short columnar internode. Inferior lemma with an awnlet 0.5–1 mm. long. |
