Description:
Tubers 1 cm long, ovoid. Plants 13-20 cm tall, erect, delicate. Stem clothed in white hairs 4—5 mm long. Leaf single, 3 cm long and wide, ovate-orbicular, cordate at the base, acute, the upper surface fairly densely covered with white hairs, margins densely ciliate; single cauline bract above. Inflorescence 8 cm long, laxly 6-flowered. Sepals green, petals and lip white. Pedicel and ovary 10 mm long. Dorsal sepal 7 mm long, 3 mm wide, ovate, concave, acute, hairy outside. Petals bi-lobed almost to the base; anterior lobe 18-20 mm long, 0.3-0.7 mm wide, filiform, curving outwards and upwards; posterior lobe 6-8 mm long, 0.5-0.7 mm wide, linear, subobtuse. Lateral sepals 8 mm long, 2.8 mm wide, obliquely semiovate, hairy outside. Lip 3-lobed to the base; the middle lobe 12-14 mm long, 1 mm, pendent, linear-ligulate, obtuse; lateral lobes 18-20 mm long, 0.5-0.9 mm wide, curving up and out like lower petal lobes. Notes: This species is closely related to Habenaria leucotricha Schltr., differing from it in the longer petal lobes and lip side lobes, and in the spur, which is shorter than the mid-lobe of the lip.
