Description:
A small tree or shrub; leaves sessile or with petiole rarely more than 2 mm. long; leaves coriaceous, with conspicuous reticulation.

Derivation of specific name: febrifugum: giving relief from fever.
Habitat: Woodland.
Altitude range: Up to 1980 m
Flowering time:Oct - Dec
Worldwide distribution: From Senegal eastwards to South Sudan and Ethiopia, southwards to Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Angola.
