Description:
Perennial herb, often scrambling, with 6-angled stems up to 4m long, shortly hairy usually only when young. Leaves ovate, 2-12.5 cm long, often young or absent at flowering time hairless on both surfaces or sparsely pubescent on margin and veins beneath; petiole 5-78 mm long. Inflorescences axillary of 1-3 umbels of 2-6 flowers,together often forming loose panicles on largely leafless branches. Bracts of unequal size, oblong-elliptic, lanceolate or obovate-elliptic, prominently 3-veined, shortly glandular-pubescent. Corolla 14-21.5 mm long, bright pink or purple. Capsule 5.5-8.5 mm long, glandular pubescent.
