Description:	Erect perennial herb to 50 cm tall. The bottom 6 cm of the stem with purplish scale-like leaves. Flowers orange to vermillion on outside, yellowish on inside, variable in size, tepals 27-50 × 3-5.5 mm.
Type location:	DRC, L. Mweru
Notes:	Altitude: 665-1760 m. (Maroyi); 1200-1400 m. (FZ) Conservation status: Widespread, locally common. Least concern.
