Perennial herb with one or a few stems 10-45 cm tall growing from an elongate or globose root; leaves ± heteromorphic (with two different forms), in a rosette or subopposite, basal leaves 11-150 x 6-100 mm, subsessile or shortly petiolate, obovate to oblanceolate or elliptic to orbicular-oblate, stem leaves subsessile, smaller and narrower or sometimes absent; inflorescence unbranched or few branched spikes of subverticillate, subopposite or scattered flowers; fruiting calyx ovoid, 3.5-6 mm long; corolla white or pink with tube slightly broadened towards throat, 4.5-7.5 mm long, posterior lip 4-lobed with mid-lobes markedly larger than side lobes, lower lip 3-6 mm long, boat-shaped; nutlets smooth. |
