Perennial herb; leaves several, prostrate, elliptic-oblong to oblong, c. 20 x 19 cm but often much smaller, margin entire, grey-green above and purplish below, softly hairy; inflorescences produced from base of leaf midrib, 2-10 flowered; peduncle up to 10 cm long, wiry; pedicles slender, 7-15 mm long, softly hairy; corolla 7-10 mm long, tube reddish purple outside with white lobes; capsules 5-10 x 1.5 mm. |
