Description:

A scapose perennial herb, 25-60 cm. tall from an enlarged woody rootstock.Leaves appearing with, or sometimes after the flowers, mostly 4-8 basal, rarely a few cauline; lower leaves eventually up to c. 25 x 2.5 cm., linear-oblanceolate to narrowly oblong-oblanceolate, subacute athe apex and tapering to an attenuate very narrowly winged midrib. Scapes annual, greenish, usually solitary. Capitula solitary and terminal on the branches. |
