Description: |
Climbing or prostrate tendrilous vine with pubescent stems and sometimes with capitate-glandular hairs near the nodes. Leaves 3–5-foliolate; leaflets sessile or subsessile, elliptic, obovate or ovate, , up to 10 cm long and 5 cm wide, mostly hairless above but with a few hairs on the midrib, whitish-hairy beneath, veins reticulate; margin crenate; petiole up to 4·5 cm long but usually shorter, pubescent and sometimes with a few scattered capitate glands; stipules lanceolate, up to 1·2 cm long, more or less falcate, pubescent and sometimes with a few capitate glands at the margins. Inflorescences on side-branches, more or less compact; peduncle up to 7 cm long, densely pubescent, bracts and bracteoles 1–2 mm long, pubescent. Flower-bud up to 3 mm long, constricted near the middle, thinly pubescent along the petal margins and near the apex. Calyx more or less 4-toothed, pubescent and often with a few subsessile glands. Petals yellowish with red tips. Fruits not known. |
