Description: |
Scandent herb growing from a tuberous root; stem slender, striate, glabrous; tendrils present; leaves digitate, 3-5-foliolate; petiole up to 2 cm long, puberulous above but otherwise glabrous; leaflet-lamina up to 4 x 0.5 cm, linear-lanceolate to narrowly lanceolate, margins sparsely serrate, apex acuminate, base cuneate; stipules up to 3.5 mm long, lanceolate, margin puberulous; petiolule c. 1 mm long or leaflets sessile; cymes lax on axillary branches; peduncle up to 4 cm long, glabrescent or glabrous; pedicels up to 3 mm long, glabrous or minutely pubescent; bracts and bracteoles c. 1 mm long, subulate, puberulous; flower bud c. 2 mm long, oblong-cylindric, constricted near the middle, glabrous; calyx purplish, 0.5 mm long, glabrous; petals greenish with deep purple tips; ovary glabrous; style c. 0.7 mm long, apex scarcely capitate. |
