Erect completely glabrous herb up to 40 cm tall and without tendrils; stem often unbranched, zigzag, deeply sulcate or winged; leaves digitately 5–7-foliolate; petiole 3–9.5 cm long; leaflet-lamina up to 13.5 × 3.5 cm, subsessile, narrowly obovate, apiculate at the apex, margin serrate to irregularly pinnatifid, narrowly cuneate at the base; stipules up to 6 cm long, ovate; cymes relatively few-flowered, axillary, peduncle up to 3 cm long, pedicels 3–4 mm long; bracts and bracteoles 0.5–2 mm long, ovate; flower-bud 2.5 × 1.5 mm, conical; calyx up to 1 mm long, sub-entire; petals reddish-green; fruit 9 x 8 mm, globose; seeds c. 1.5 x 4 mm, ± smooth. |
