Description:
Erect annual similar to C. kipilaensis but bracts (3)4–7 mm long, calyx lobes ovate-lanceolate, thinly pubescent to glabrous apart from margins, standard oblong-obovate, pubescent only at the apex outside, wings longer than the keel, beak of the keel only slightly incurved and rather shorter, and pod a little larger, glabrous except along the upper suture.
Type location:
Zambia, Solwezi
Notes: Known from only four collections in the North-Western province of Zambia and one collection outside Kolwezi in Katanga province of DRC.

Habitat: Miombo and riverside woodland
Altitude range: 1200 - 1350 m
