Perennial, developing a slender rhizomatous rootstock, but flowering from first year of growth; stems erect, 25‒70 cm tall, branching above, densely spreading pilose, the hairs 1‒2 mm long. Leaves almost all 3-foliolate, uppermost grading to bracts. Racemes sessile, short, dense, 12‒30-flowered. |
