Description:
Erect subshrub 1–2 m tall. Stems glabrous or with a very few scattered tubercular-based hairs. Leaves 2-foliolate; leaflets subsessile, 10–31 × 8–25 mm, regularly or somewhat obliquely obcordate, the main nerve dividing the blade into unequal or subequal parts, the larger part at the most twice as broad as the narrower part, cuneate, glabrous, entire; venation prominent and reticulate on both surfaces; petiole 4–8 mm long; stipules 7–23 × 5–16 mm, elliptic or obovate-oblong, rounded or obtuse at the apex, unequally auriculate at the base, leaf-like, entire, glabrous, persistent. Inflorescences 10–20-flowered; peduncle 3–4 mm long, sparsely pubescent with tubercular-based hairs; rhachis 2–5 cm long; pedicels 2 mm long; bracts green or purplish, 10–14 × 11–19 mm, split for c. one-third of their length into 2 obtuse or rounded and apiculate entire or sparsely ciliolate-denticulate lobes, glabrous; bracteoles 2–3 × 0.5–1 mm, lanceolate, entire, glabrous. Calyx 7 mm long, glabrous. Standard orange, 8–9 × 3–4 mm, panduriform. Fruit of 1 article, 5 mm long and wide, glabrous.
