Description: |
Perennial herb with annual, crisped-pubescent stems, 6–14 cm tall, growing from a woody rootstock. Leaves very narrowly elliptic-oblong, 5–22 mm long, somewhat pubescent when young but soon becoming hairless, apex mucronulate. Inflorescences short, somewhat congested, terminal racemes 2–5 cm long, bracts and bracteoles 1.5–2 mm long, persistent. Flowers magenta or pale mauve with pedicels up to 5 mm long. Posterior sepal 3 mm long; wing sepals obliquely elliptic, 6–7 mm long, hairless; anterior sepals 2.5 mm long, free. Upper petals broadly falcate, 5.5 mm long; carina 6 mm long, crest 2.5 mm long. Capsule suborbicular 5.5 mm long, slightly pubescent. |
