Description: |
Plants commonly communal, though spaced, not aggregated. Bulbs up to 8 cm wide. Leaves narrow, linear, mostly up to 0.4 cm wide, erect, with smooth margins. Flowers 1, rarely 2, sessile. Perianth tube pinkish, curved, 8.5-15 cm long; segments acuminate, white with pink dorsal streak. |

Notes: | Closely resembles C. walteri Overkott, which is widespread south of the R. Zambezi, differing from this species in the scape arising above ground, perianth segments widely reflexed at anthesis, and the fruits not beaked. |
