Description: |
Rhizome vertical, 1-1.5 cm thick. Cataphylls 9-14 cm long, distinctly transversely barred with purplish barring and distinctly transversely ridged. Petiole 13-26(40) cm long., basal part marked and ridged as cataphylls. Blade narrowly triangular to ovate-elliptic in outline, deeply sagittate, basal lobes almost as long as anterior lobe. Inflorescence appearing before leaves, often paired, held at ground level. Spathe pale green to brown, erect, basal part inflated, obovoid. Infructescence underground. |
