Small perennial; up to 12 cm high, growing from a horizontal rhizome; roots reduced to sessile tubers; leaves in rosette, 3-9 per plant, lanceolate, 2-15 x 1-1.5 cm, margins ciliate; peduncles 1-5 per plant, slender, terete, shorter than leaves; inflorescence unbranched, lax; pedicels 2-4 per node; perianth white, tepals c.6 mm long, 3 veined; capsules globose, 3-angled, 3 x 4 mm wide; seeds disk-shaped, c.2 mm across. |
