Description:
Robust branched perennial herb up to c. 1.2 m tall with annual roughly hairy stems. Leaves oblanceolate near the base, 7-30 cm long and with coarse irregular lobe-like teeth; oblong-lanceolate and smaller along the stem, not lobed with margins toothed to entire. Capitula 2-4 together in axillary clusters or solitary and terminal. 2-3 cm in diameter consisting only of ligulate florets, Bright blue, rarely white or pink.
