Description: |
Erect perennial up to c. 1 m tall. Leaves opposite, simple, sessile or almost so, narrowly oblong to ovate, hairless with scabrid margins; base cordate, more or less auriculate. Inflorescence a cyme with heads terminal on the branches. Florets bright orange-red. Pappus of rigid bristles, these 6-9 mm, straight or with hooked apices, laterally winged below. |
