| Description: |
Annual herb 15–90 cm high. Leaves: lamina narrowly ovate to narrowly obovate, 3.5–8.5 × 0.5–2.5 cm, glabrous, with 3 main veins from the attenuate base; margin serrate. Glomerules solitary at the nodes, sessile, 9–18 mm in diameter; phyllaries absent; paleae present. Florets white or slightly pink because of pink anthers, female florets absent; disc florets 1.5–2.5 mm long. Achenes obovoid, 1–1.5 mm long, slightly hairy and glandular near the apex; pappus a ring of basally connected hairs 0.1 mm long. |
