Description:
Shrub or small tree, to 12 m. Leaves opposite, narrowly elliptic to oblanceolate, glossy green, glabrous; margin wavy; domatia present but small. Flowers strongly and sweetly scented, usually solitary. Calyx glabrous to glabrescent. Corolla white with reddish-purple markings. Fruit 2-4 cm, spherical, blackish when ripe.
