Description: |
Trailing or erect, shrubby perennial herb. Plants often foetid-aromatic. Leaves opposite, ovate, up to 21 cm long, cordate at the base, sparsely hairy, mostly along the veins, margin coarsely toothed; petiole 2.5-10 cm long. Flowers in 1-9-flowered groups, together forming a large open, branched inflorescence, 15-35 cm long covered in purple-brown glandular hairs. Corolla 5-lobed, white to pale mauve with an orange-brown throat and 1-2 yellow markings and a band of long hairs on the lower lobe. Capsule 15-25 mm long, hairy and glandular, particularly in the apical part. |
