Description: |
Perennial herb growing from a woody rootstock. Stems several trailing to suberect, up to 1-2 m long. Leaves opposite, narrowly oblong-elliptic, up to 9 cm long, 3 times or more longer than wide, sometimes with small subhastate lobes at the base; margin entire or shallowly crenate; petiole 2-8 mm long, more or less greyish pubescent, not winged. Flowers axillary, solitary. Bracteoles ovate, up to 1.9 cm long, leathery, green with brownish rib-like veins. Corolla pale lemon-yellow, sometimes slightly darker yellow in the throat; lobes up to 1.5 × 1.7 cm, often broadly emarginate. Capsule 7-9 mm in diameter with a narrowly triangular beak, 10-12 mm long, densely and finely velvety. |
