Description: |
Perennial herb, up to 130 cm. Stem grooved. Leaves mostly basal, oblong-spathulate, up to 20 cm long in large specimens, hairless; margin toothed with a very prominent ciliae at the apex of the teeth; petiole up yo 10 cm long, sheathing at the base. Few leaves along the stem smaller and subsessile with an auriculate base. Inflorescence branched, terminal; each branch with a terminal small dense head of minute florets subtended by a whorl of conspicuous white triangular bracts, the whole head resembling a single white-petaled flower. |
