Description:
Woody climber; stems cylindric, never 4-angled or developing corky wings. Tendrils simple. Leaves simple, not lobed and not succulent, glabrous, petiolate, lamina up to 9 × 8.5 cm, ovate to broadly ovate; apex acuminate; base truncate to slightly cordate; 3-5-veined from the base; margin serrate with teeth up to 1.5 mm long. Flowers borne in axillary, few-flowered cymes; peduncle up to 2 cm. Flower-bud conical, glabrous. Ovary glabrous. Fruit 1.5 × 1 cm, ellipsoid. Seed 1.
