Description: |
Perennial herb with prostrate branches up to 1 m long, growing from a vertical woody rootstock, often producing underground inflorescences. Stems more or less densely covered with spreading hairs. Leaves palmately 3-7-foliolate; leaflets, 3.5-9 cm long, linear-elliptic to narrowly obovate, usually hairless above, with appressed or spreading hairs below. Inflorescences in racemes, up to 20 cm long. Flowers pink to purple. Subterranean inflorescences shorter with whitish flowers. Pods 2-3.5 cm long linear-oblong, pubescent, brownish, 4-7-seeded. Subterranean pods 7-10 mm long, whitish, 1-2-seeded. |
