Description:
Prostrate to decumbent herb with dichotomous branching. Leaves: petiole up to 1 cm, glabrous; lamina 1-3.5 × 0.6-3 cm, ovate to very broadly ovate, glabrous, 3-7-nerved at base; base cordate, truncate or abruptly cuneate. Sepals narrowly lanceolate, green with white margin. Petals white, sometimes 0, very deeply 2-fid.
Type location:
Syntypes from Jamaica and Surinam.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: cordata: heart-shaped
Habitat: In shady places, particularly at the edges of forests.
