Description: |
Perennial herb, 10-50 cm high, growing from corms, the plants dying back in winter. leaves several, mostly basal, narrowly lanceolate, 8-15 mm wide, reaching to about the base of the flowering spike. Flowering stem simple or 1-3-branched. Flowering spike 4-12-flowered, sometimes more. Flowers pink to purple; tube 20-30 mm long; tepals unequal, upper 10-12 mm long, lower 8-11 mm long, streaked with darker pink or purple in the midline. Capsule globose, 4-5 mm in diameter. |
