Description: |
Annual. Culms 10–60 cm. high, decumbent or ascending. Inflorescence of 3–20 racemes, these 0.5–3 cm. long, subsecund, bearing single or paired spikelets in 1–2 irregular rows on a triquetrous rhachis, sometimes with a few short branchlets at base of longer racemes. Spikelets 1.5–2 mm. long, glabrous or pubescent, obtuse or acute. Inferior glume 1/3 length of spikelet. Superior lemma granulose to striate, acute. |
