Notes: | Tall erect herb (up to 200cm high), with large, pale yellow flowers with dark centres. Epicalyx distinguishes Hibiscus from other genera. Epicalyx of surattensis has fine dotting of black glands, and is complex and ornate with both a horizontal and vertical component. Leaves are three- or sometimes five-lobed. |
