Species details:

Note: Sexes similar but female larger than male. Similar to P. parhassus but smaller with more extensive black markings in the apical part of the forewing and lacking the green gloss of P. parhassus.
Distribution: Locally common in riverine and forested areas in Mozambique and Zimbabwe less common in the coastal forests of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
