Description of the genus

Terrestrial herbs. Leaves borne on the stem, merging into the floral bracts above. Inflorescence usually nodding. Flowers non-resupinate, yellow or white. Lip 3-lobed bearing a single spur. Stigma sessile.

Worldwide: 26 species in tropical and South Africa

Zambia: 1 taxon.
