Perennial herb, rhizomatous, completely glabrous. Leaves petiolate to sessile; lamina with margin serrate, revolute; stipules with long-glandular-fimbriate margins or almost completely dissected into glandular-filamentous lobes, longitudinally striate, free, persistent. Inflorescence of few-flowered monochasial cymes in the axils of reduced bract-like vegetative leaves; pedicels articulated at the base or not articulated. Sepals 5, green with pale margin, persistent, not enlarging or changing colour in fruit. Petals 5, pink, not unguiculate, deciduous. Fruit a capsule with 3 septicidal valves. Seeds small, with punctate testa and abundant endosperm. Zambia: 1 taxon. |
