Description of the genus
Perennial herbs. Leaves alternate, simple. Capitula disciform, paniculate. Involucral bracts in 4 or 5 rows. Receptacle honeycombed with toothed margins to the pits. Florets 4-lobed, yellow. Pappus of 2-5 irregularly toothed scales. Worldwide: Monotypic in Angola and Zambia. Zambia: 1 taxon. |
