Common names:
Description:	Shrub up to 4.5 m tall. Leaves narrowly to broadly elliptic, 10-35 cm long; apex acuminate. Inflorescence a terminal racemose panicle, 17-40 cm long. Corolla weakly 2-lipped, 1.5-4 cm long, purplish-pink. Upper lip shallowly 2-lobed; lower lip 3-lobed, bent downwards.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name:	callistachyum: from Greek, calli meaning beautiful and stachys a spike, referring to the inflorescence.
