| Description: | Shrub to 3 m tall. Leaves to 10 cm long, ovate to elliptic, entire. Flowers in 4-8-flowered axillary cymes; lower bracts leaf-like, upper minute. Calyx with 5 narrow triangular lobes. Corolla orange-red to bright red, bearing an extraordinary large glossy black nectariferous patch on the base of the lower lip. | |
