Description:
Erect or decumbent, aromatic annual herb, up to 50 cm. Stems simple or branched from the base. Leaves light green, deeply 3-7 lobed; margin dentate. Leaf-like false stipules present. Flowers in few flowered clusters.

Derivation of specific name: pedata: pedate; with leaves which are palmately divided, with the lateral lobes again partially divided
Habitat: In sandy soils in deciduous woodland and grassland and along roadsides.
