Description:
Robust herb to 140 cm tall, glabrous except for tuber; tuber ellipsoid or ovoid; stem leafy, leaves 9-13, the lowermost 1-2 loosely sheathing, mid-stem leaves broad, upper leaves grading into the bracts; inflorescence laxly 2-12 flowered; flower green and white; spur 13-22 cm long, slightly dilated towards the tip.

Habitat: Miombo woodland or wooded grassland.
